No one turned away for lack of funds
This summer, the City Reliquary brings the world of Empire Rollerdrome Center to life, exploring its role as a national icon and a focal point of the African American community in Brooklyn.
This Saturday's opening reception will be a chance for the public to see the exhibit as well as for the skate community to come together. If you have stories or snapshots from Empire that you would like to share, please bring them and the Reliquary will do our best to incorporate them into the exhibit.

**Summer of Skate**
In support of #EmpireSkate, the Reliquary presents *Summer of Skate*, a series of roller skate feature films and documentaries that will be screened in the museum's garden the second Friday of the month, June through September.
Hints at our *Summer of Skate* selections. Films will be announced during Saturday's opening reception.
