A Roller Disco Recap ✨
**Empire Skate Night**
Saturday's roller disco was a huge success with more than 200 skaters turning out to get their groove on. DJ Dirtyfinger brought the musical heat and with DJ Big Bob spinning classic skate tunes, some of Empire Rollerdrome's special energy was brought back for one night only.
Bill Butler led an impromptu lesson in his famous "[Jammin](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKuGCWj4VkY)'" style of skating and old school skaters boogied alongside first-time skate renters.

**Summer of Skate Final Films**
*Summer of Skate *is a series of roller skate feature films and documentaries that will be screened in the museum's garden the second Friday of the month, June through September. This film series takes place in partnership with [FilmIndie Cinema](http://www.filmindiecinema.com/), a pop-up screening series aimed at (re)introducing audiences to must-see black cinema.
