On **Friday, August 31st,** we'll be taking it down to the A with a screening of the classic 2006 coming-of-age film, ATL. 

**Doors are at 7.** **Films are screened at 8pm.
The museum will remain open until 10 pm.**

**September 14th**
*Get Rollin'*

Known as the "World's Only Roller Boogie Documentary", this film by Terrance Mitchell features legendary Empire skaters "Pat the Cat" Richardson, Vincent "Venzerelli" Smith, and Inez Daniels.

Before the feature film, join us for an exclusive look at the award-winning documentary, [United Skates](https://www.unitedskatesfilm.com/), followed by a conversation with director Tina Brown and documentary star, Reggie Brown. 

**Doors are at 7. Films are screened at 8pm. 
The museum will remain open until 10 pm. **

*Summer of Skate* films highlight documentaries and feature film related to rollerskating culture. They also provide late-night access to the City Reliquary's special exhibit, Empire Skate: The Birthplace of Roller Disco.

**Calling All MTA Ambassadors!**

**On Thursday, September 27 at 7 PM**, the 2018 Miss Subways Pageant returns at [Littlefield](https://www.littlefieldnyc.com/directions/). With a wink and a nod to the[ Miss Subways pageants held in NYC between 1941 and 1976](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miss_Subways), this event is a call to arms for advocates and lovers of the NYC underground. 
**Weâ€™re still looking for contestants who believe they should be the ambassador for the subway in its time of crisis. **

**TO ENTER**: Send the following to to [miss-subways@cityreliquary.org](mailto:miss-subways@cityreliquary.org):
**1)** a short essay telling us why you want to be Miss Subways 2018, what your favorite subway line is, and why it inspires/enrages/enchants you
**2)** a detailed description of your proposed performance. Show your love for our subterranean system through song, dance, poetry, or any other talent: Rubikâ€™s cube solving, hula hooping, speed knitting, playing the sousaphoneâ€¦surprise us!
**3)** a photo and/or short video (>3 minutes)

**The deadline to enter is September 7th at 11:59 PM. We will notify all finalists by** **September 14th. **
