Graphic novels live? Oh yes. The [Brooklyn Book Festival](https://brooklynbookfestival.org/event/carousel-comics-performance-in-person/) and [Carousel Slideshow](https://carouselslideshow.com/) are bringing a brilliant hybrid of comics and performance to the City Reliquary's backyard on [Monday, September 27 at 7 pm](https://withfriends.co/event/12496949/carousel_comics_performances_and_picture_shows)! During quarantine, artist and musician [Tasha Lutek](https://www.tashalutek.com/) teamed up with musician and artist [Sean Spada](https://www.seanspada.com/) to present a social distancing show and tell show, [Show and Purell](https://www.tashalutek.com/show-and-purell), each Tuesday on Instagram Live. Working with a different theme each week, participants shared meaningful objects from their homes as a way to connect with one another in a time of isolation.

Now Show and Purell will happen in-person for the very first time in the City Reliquary's backyard! The theme is "Free for All" and as always, the participants will interpret that in any number of ways and with a wide variety of objects. The show will conclude with a rapid share in which members of the audience are invited to speak about their own object. So bring something to share if you'd like!
