Bodega Cats at The City Reliquary
Hello!
We hope you’re enjoying the last days of summer as things slow down and the heat settles over the city with, hopefully, one final blast of humidity.
Here at the Reliquary, we’re gearing up for fall and are looking forward to our upcoming First Friday event:

Bodega Cats of New York: A Pre-Release Slideshow and Talk
September 4th from 7-10pm | FREE ENTRY | RSVP here
Dan Rimada of Bodega Cats of New York will join us for a pre-release slideshow and talk drawn from the archive behind his new book.
We will look at the cats, the stores, the people who care for them, and the legal gray area around working shop cats. Audience questions will follow.
Bodega Cats of New York's upcoming book is a photographic record of the cats who live and work behind the counters of New York's corner stores. Sixty cats across all five boroughs, photographed by Gulce Kilkis, with the stories of the people who feed them and name them.
Epic Ink, an imprint of Quarto, publishes the 240-page hardcover on November 3.
Entry is free for all of our First Friday events! Visit our permanent collection, learn about our city’s resident felines, grab a drink, and stop by the merch table.
