Collectors' Night Pics & Friday Screening
**Tonight**, archivist Russell Scholl screens his [classic musical film shorts](http://cityreliquary.org/jumpjive). See vintage jazz, pop, country and gospel performances through shorts, Soundies, and television and film appearances ranging from the late 1920s to the early 21st century. Featuring performances from the Philharmonicas, Louis Jordan, and other musicians ranging from the early 20th century to today. **Collectors' Night 2017** met on Saturday, April 8, at the New York City Fire Museum, and it was our most successful Collectors' Night yet! Nearly 300 people come out to see 25 diverse collections ranging from Beanie Boos to business cards for Chicago street gangs. Guest speaker Miriam Sicherman presented the Closet Archaeology project she has worked on with her 4th-grade students, and LuLu LoLo performed her collector obituary monologues.
