We have a very special new item for sale at the museum: a set of cards that act as a self-guided tour of some highlights in the museum. Patrons can go on a "scavenger hunt" for all the featured artifacts while they peruse the museum. These cards feature hand drawn illustrations of a selection of artifacts on one side and a detailed description on the other side--and this incredible item was created by our very own volunteers, Inbal and Eliana. Big thanks to them for their dedicated, amazing work on this project.
When doing a front desk shift, please mention this item as part of your introductory greeting or as you are collecting admissions. They can be described as "a self-guided tour in the form of a collectible, hand-made souvenir, available only at our museum for just $3 dollars!" Not only is it a quaint little keepsake of the museum for our patrons, but a great way for them to go beyond the visceral wonder of our artifacts and gain some background knowledge of what we are showcasing and the history of New York as a whole.

We have gotten word that counterfeit bill scammers in the area are back/still at it. Not too long ago we stopped accepting cash bills over $20 due to the counterfeit bills we had fallen victim to, but apparently fake $10 bills have been popping up recently. Please pay extra careful attention for fakes when accepting bills of any size. These recent bogus bills are said to pretty conspicuous by their strange texture and color. If ever in doubt, use the counterfeit pen we have at the desk.

One final reminder: please make note of the new admission pricing structure we recently established if you have not already. General admission will be $7, with a reduced price of $5 for educators/students/seniors. Children 12 and under and employees of museums will still be admitted free of charge. All the new prices will be posted in the museum and in Square.
Many thanks,
Dominick
