**Saturday, May 19**: New special exhibit opening (Empire Skate: The Birthplace of Roller Disco); 1 vollie needed
To highlight the artists featured in our new backyard "trash art" garden display, Margo has made a binder with their information and it sits at the desk. This is an extension of our current special exhibit and is open through the end of the month. This should be shared with anyone interested in learning more about the artists and their artwork.
Secondly, the following are just a few routine housekeeping reminders that I was asked to pass on:
-At the end of the day, please make sure all trash (especially food) is removed from front desk and bathroom to the garbage pails out front.
-If you use the heater, please make sure it is turned off before leaving.
- Please don’t accept fliers to place on the desk, nor remove any fliers that we have placed there.
-If an object donation is made, please record the contact information of the donor so we can acknowledge them.
-Please make sure the iPad and Square charger(s) are left fully charged or plugged in at the end of each shift.
-If you have to leave the desk area please post a sign in the door using complete words, as not all of our guests are familiar with text slang such as “BRB.” Wherever possible, use civic-minded or nostalgic (rather than technology-based) colloquialisms!
-Please look in the backyard to make sure nothing is left out in the rain after events. Also, try as best as possible to move the back room display case back to its normal spot if it has been moved.
-For events, please make sure to log those admissions separately from regular admissions in Square, and circle “event” on the deposit slip.
