Opening Reception: "NYC Trash! Past, Present, & Future"
**We're excited to announce the following special appearances:**
Artist Mierle Laderman Ukeles's iconic artwork *The Social Mirror* (1983) will be at the Reliquary this day only. According to Ukeles, this project invites citizens "...to see themselves linked with the handlers of their waste.â€
Representatives from the Bureau of Recycling and Sustainability of the NYC Dept. of Sanitation will join us to promote their curbside [Organics Collection program](http://nyc.gov/organics). Reps will distribute free 1-lb bags of compost to guests. Get one while supplies last or [visit our website](http://cityreliquary.org) for more updates on this event as they develop.
