**NEWS/REMINDERS/MISCELLANEOUS:**

First, we still have one shift open: Saturday, January 26, from 12 to 3. Please let me know if you can possibly do this one.

Second, here is just a quick refresher from Dave himself regarding object donations:

If someone wants to make a small donoation (ie; fits in a small bag or envelope, ie; stuff we call “fan mail”) we will be happy to accept it at the museum. The objects may or may not be accepted into the permanent collection. The main criteria for acceptance in our collection is a) relevance to NYC history, and b) board approval.Board approval may be contingent on considerations such as the object’s relevance tomour preexisting collection, space requirements for display and storage, provenance and authentication.
If the donor would like more detailed info, please have them contact us at [info@cityreliquary.org](mailto:info@cityreliquary.org).

For urgent matters of course, our vollies should try to reach me on my cell.

If the donor would like to leave objects for us to consider in our permanent collection, and does not desire a “Gift of Deed” contract immediately, we can accept small items that seem to be likely candidates for our collection. In this case, it is helpful to get as much information about the objects as possible, most importantly the donor’s name and contact information.

This may feel like a large responsibility for some vollies. If the donation seems, unusual, large, or complicated in anyway, it may be best to have the donor contact us directly via [info@cityreiquary.org](mailto:info@cityreiquary.org).

Finally, one last special thank you to each and every volunteer on the roster for 2018. I've said it before and I'll say it again: this museum can't exist without all of our great volunteers. This is a complete team effort from top to bottom that once again resulted in a great year for our museum--and here's to another one in 2019!

Big thanks (as always),
Dominick
