Got a civic itch to scratch?
Volunteer at the City Reliquary! Our volunteers—or "vollies," in Reliquarian parlance—keep the museum running and help us in ways large and small. If you'll give us six hours a month, we'll give you the world (or at least a great volunteer experience and many heartfelt thanks).
We're looking for museum docents, events staff, and special projects leads. What does that entail? You can read detailed descriptions of each role [on our website](http://www.cityreliquary.org/volunteers/).
Generally speaking, we're looking for folks who have:
-
A friendly, outgoing manner;
-
A passion for New York City history and folklore
-
A fondness for eccentricity (preferred)
-
A sense of humor (nonnegotiable)
If you're an insatiable collector, a New York trivia master, a documentarian of the overlooked, a wistful nostalgic, a flea-market fiend, or a found-object enthusiast, you should probably be working with us.
Perks include a complimentary museum membership, free tickets to programs and special events, a hug from at least one member of our Board of Directors, and fun, yet mysterious times at our Vollies' Ball.
Again, [check out the full description](http://www.cityreliquary.org/volunteers/), and send us with your very best letter of interest to [vollies@cityreliquary.org](mailto:vollies@cityreliquary.org).
